The time of the year that we have all been waiting for is fast approaching. Show truck season!
For many of us, the advent of show truck season can be compared to a bear coming out of hibernation after a long, cold winter to begin life again. We look forward to warmth, sunshine, and a chance to display the truck builds that we have worked so hard to fine-tune and complete over the winter months. It's also the time to visit face to face once again with friends and colleagues in the circuit and see the hard work and care they have put into their rigs. Show truck season means newly installed chrome and stainless, cleaned up and polished big rigs, and competitions for the Best of Show, among other prizes.
With that in mind, RoadWorks Manufacturing is proud to announce that we are the Premier Sponsor of the PKY Truck Beauty Championship at the Mid America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky! The PKY Truck Beauty Championship sets itself apart by being the largest and most elite truck show in North America and sets the standard for the rest of North America's truck shows throughout the coming year. RoadWorks is incredibly proud to be the Premier Sponsor of this show because the PKY Truck Beauty Show and drivers' ongoing work into their rigs embody the largest part of our identity. For those who would like to attend MATS and the PKY Truck Beauty Show, events will run from April 24th through the 26th at the Kentucky Exposition Center just south of downtown Louisville Kentucky. This year's show will have over 1,000 exhibitors, tons of special events, and the PKY Truck Beauty Show, with 150 to 200 competitors, all vying for this year's top prizes.
The PKY Truck Beauty Show will be open to spectators on the 24th & 25th from 10 am to 6 pm, and Saturday the 26th from 9 am to 4 pm. One of the fan favorites and highlights of the PKY Truck Beauty Show is the PKY Light Show which runs from 8 pm to 9:30 pm on Thursday. The trucks will fire up their lights and give the public the chance to see the rigs lit up in all their intended glory. The show wraps up on Saturday with the awards ceremony from 10 am to 12 pm and the PKY Parade from 5 pm to 7 pm. For the parade, competitors form up and take a lap around the Expo Center, giving spectators a chance to take pictures while the drivers get a chance to blast their train horns and roll smoke with their jake brakes, all to the delight of the crowd.
